The Client Visit
Hi All..
The D-Day for offshore finally came.We had client visit today.The entire office campus had its lawn proudly posting many company posters with life sciences written on the top!
A group of 12 high level ppl were supposed to come n meet us around 11 30 this morning..but it was getting delayed and right when we decided to pack off for lunch, Our lead came out saying that they would arrive any moment now and hence plz stay glued to ur seats:).. well not exactly the own seats as the hi-fi were all placed at the strategic locations replacing the new ones to be ready with the known answers for the anticipated questions!! The preparation for this 10 minute max interaction had been happening for quite some time and the excitement level was evidently high in the atmosphere..
I had the advantage of being seated in the corner seat facing the door and regularly peeped to get the latest update reg their arrival n to transmit to the disadvantageous rest through sametime!
A quick walk by one american colleague accompanied by the vertical lead got us all to the edge of our seat.. but rapid sametimes passing the truth by the early realisers eased us again ..
And then they came.. near the entrance for quite some time viewing the lcd tv ( installed one week back) which was telecasting the various accomplishments of the teams here.. the photos.. the project gists etc and proceeded with the AZ "guides" to see the various posters stuck in the pathway ( put 3 days back!) and then towards the bay (painted with AZ colours 1 week back!!!)the parade started with the main members ready with the prepared speech and went on n on like a 5 th grade student would ..trying to impress the school president ;)
One phase down ,one more to go...
Now, the non-answering members were busy with work not knowing whether to raise their heads n flash a smile or wait till the royal introduction happens. Being seated at the border of two projects yours truly did not know if she could comfortably listen to the conversation at the other end and wait for her time or not.. Sametimes again did the trick :)
Many "guides" then ushered them past our places introducing this team as whole.Again seated in the most-easily-targeted-corner I was the first to get introduced. Having gone through the medicines over n again this morning I faced the mighty opponent to answer the most difficult and un-anticipated question.
"Hi I am Robert Williams .You are... "
"hi .Vasumathy .Nice meeting you"....
Mr.Williams moved on..Few more pleasantries exchanged, It was farewell time.. !!
All done , We sympathetically looked at the long forgotten models of the blockbuster medicines hanging around!!
Well back to work now .. lets get ready for the next client visit!!!

The origin
Hey folks.. I had always put off this posible addictive bloggin on many occasions but commenting on few articles seemed irrestible... In those good old days, we could just sign in as guest and give a name and go abt commentin.. but now... well the clocks have turned and an account is warranted... What more , my true friend and The co-founder of HLT jumped into this arena to subtly go about narratin a rather elite conversation between two geniuses..(one unarguably though!!;) )...http://bertie-w.blogspot.com/2007/08/best-picture.html and hence the need to comment on that was overwhelming!!
